Exhaustion, Acrostic

April 25: Flash Fiction Challenge

E

Exceedingly fatigued, no extra energy, endless to-do list…

X

Xfinity cable TV’s entertainment, secondary option competing with World Wide Web

H

House begs, “spring cleaning”…hands over ears, I’m hiding…

A

All the books in stacks, on shelves, yet to be read

U

Unresolved issues…thoughts, memories plaguing mind…

S

Shopping list to make, groceries needed, must venture out Friday

T

Time to tweeze, take recycling downstairs…tempted to choose ‘day off’…

I

Inspiration, so many writing prompts…maybe I should work on unfinished novel?

O

Only 24-hours in day, despite my habit of omitting sleep…

N

Nobody can keep up this pace, I’m no machine…I’m retired!
